On August 25, 2019, the first thematic forum of the Smart China Expo — “Future Is Here In Promising Yunyang” Big Data and Intelligent Industrial Innovation and Development Summit on Yunyang was held at Wyndham Chongqing Yuelai.

The forum marks the first time for Yunyang County to demonstrate itself on an international stage since late 2017 when it attached top priority to big data intelligence and promoted innovative development from a holistic perspective. At the forum, a number of big data intelligence projects were signed with Yunyang with a total value of 3.169 billion RMB.

Leading companies in the big data intelligence industry participated in the forum including Huawei, Aliyun and Jusfoun. In the future, Yunyang will strive to become “a park, a pioneer and a benchmark,” in a bid to further promote the big data intelligence industry.

Big data in acceleration in Yunyang

After nearly two years of planning and implementation, Yunyang, a major ecological and agricultural county in Chongqing, is already on the road to big data intelligence.

Qin Changde, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunyang County Committee and head of the County, said, “Along the way to big data intelligence, Yunyang has focused on four aspects, highlighting the development of a regional data center and the remote disaster preparedness industry, data labeling industry, consumer-oriented Internet platform economy, and digital-intelligent economy.” Yunyang is already on the move to provide cloud-based services in the eight areas including government affairs, urban management, transportation, community, healthcare, and tourism, to improve the level of urban governance and the efficiency of administrative services.

According to Zhang Fupeng, Vice President of intelligent data and storage of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., in this digital economy era, China has the best data foundation and the best communication network. Yunyang has already taken the first step, forming a “1+1+N” strategic pattern with Huawei. Yunyang has built an excellent platform which is born with Huawei’s next-generation technologies. The big data platform delivers a variety of applications and services by integrating data from many sources. Currently, Yunyang holds a leading position in this area. “Our dream is to bring a digital world to every individual, every family, and every organization and to build a smart world with interconnectivity,” said Zhang. “We believe that Yunyang and Chongqing have taken a solid step in this area, which is set to bring a bright and promising future.”

In his speech, Qin Changde, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunyang County Committee and head of the County, said, “While sticking to the goal of ‘building a digital economy and making Yunyang smart’ and centering on the ‘2+N’ industry system of data services, smart manufacturing, and diversified scenarios, Yunyang will continue to seize the opportunity and make every effort to become ‘a park, a pioneer, and a benchmark’.”

A “park” refers to a digital and intelligent industrial park with the garden-like landscape.

A “pioneer” means a national pioneer in labeling artificial intelligence data.

A “benchmark” stands for a benchmark city in big data intelligence at the district and county level.
