Contest Introduction

    

As one of the major events of Smart China Expo 2019, i-VISTA Autonomous Vehicle Grand Challenge makes full use of the unique geography, climate and complex traffic condition in Chongqing and creates a top-notch self-driving contest on public road for drivers, car makers, tech companies, universities across the world. The Challenge will be held in China Automotive Engineering Research Institute in Lijia Industrial Park and Yubei District in the second half of August.
Theme:Autonomous Driving towards the Future
Features: a professional and brand event with international exposure, market-based and experience-oriented operation
Objectives: to build up a high-level platform to present world’s cutting-edge technologies, conduct testing and evaluation of technologies, set up practical standards, and help improve autonomous driving technologies and their commercialization.
Incorporating ADAS System Challenge Competition, Urban Traffic Scene Challenge Competition, Commercialization Process Challenge Competition, and Innovative Application Challenge Competition, the Grand Challenge aims for vehicles with autonomous driving systems, and provides a platform for professionals to elevate autonomous driving technologies. The Challenge mainly tests vehicles’ capabilities in environment recognition, decision-making and analysis and control and execution, thus enabling consumers to learn about its key information and preparing for the commercialization of self-driving vehicles.
